Waterhole Patrol privacy policy
Last updated: 26 October 2026
This policy applies in Australia, New Zealand, the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada.
This policy is for parents and carers. Waterhole Patrol is a game for children aged 5 to 10, made by KEO Consulting Pty Ltd (ABN 94 618 862 954) (“we”, “us”). It covers the Waterhole Patrol game and this website, waterholepatrol.com.
The short version
- We don’t collect any information about your child. The game works fully offline.
- There are no ads, no accounts, no logins, no chat and no tracking.
- Everything your child makes and does in the game stays on your device.
- There is nothing to buy in this version. Any future purchase will be handled by Apple or Google, not by us.
- This website uses no cookies and no analytics.
What stays on your device
The game saves these things on the device only. We cannot see them, and they are never sent to us:
- Player profiles (up to 4): a picture, a colour and an optional nickname. When you add a nickname, the game reminds you: “Use a made-up name, not your child’s real name.”
- Game progress, builds, Field Journal pages and settings.
- Play time and the skills practised, used for play timers, the progress view and the Ranger Report in the Grown-ups’ Corner.
Your device’s own backup (for example iCloud or Google backup) may include these saved files. That backup is between you and Apple or Google.
What we don’t use
The game does not use the microphone, camera, photos, location, contacts or advertising identifiers. It contains no third-party advertising, analytics or social media tools, and sends no push notifications.
Purchases
There is nothing to buy in this version of Waterhole Patrol. In a future update, a one-off in-app purchase will open more areas of the game. When it’s available, it will be bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google will handle the payment and tell the game the unlock is owned. We won’t receive your payment details. We don’t expect to receive any personal information about you or your child from a purchase, and we will confirm exactly what we receive in this policy before the purchase becomes available. We will update this policy before the purchase is offered, including details of family sharing. See Apple’s and Google’s privacy policies for how they handle purchase information.
Crash reports
We do not put any crash-reporting tools in the game. If you have chosen in your device settings to share diagnostics with app developers, Apple or Google may give us anonymous crash reports through their own developer tools. You control this in your device settings.
The parent gate
Everything for adults (settings, play timers and save controls) sits behind a parent gate in the Grown-ups’ Corner. There is nothing to buy and there are no links out of the game in this version.
This website
This website (waterholepatrol.com) is for grown-ups. It has no sign-up forms, no accounts and no ads.
- No cookies and no analytics. The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or social media tools. It loads no scripts, fonts or other content from other companies.
- Hosting. The website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) on its Cloudflare Pages service. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard server information when you visit, such as your IP address, your browser and device type, the page you asked for and the time. Cloudflare does this to deliver and protect the site, under its own privacy policy. We don’t use this information to identify, profile or track visitors.
- Support email. Emails sent to support@waterholepatrol.com are passed on by Cloudflare Email Routing to our company inbox at admin@keoconsulting.com.au. See If you contact us for what happens next.
If you contact us
If you email us for help, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to answer you, keep it for 24 months after our last reply and then delete it. Please don’t include your child’s name or other details about your child.
We don’t share your email with anyone except the two services that carry and store it:
- Cloudflare, which forwards emails sent to support@waterholepatrol.com to our company inbox (Cloudflare Email Routing).
- Google Workspace (Google LLC), which hosts our admin@keoconsulting.com.au mailbox.
Unless a Google Workspace data region is set, Google may store and process your email in the countries where Google or its sub-processors operate, including the United States. Google acts as our data processor under its Cloud Data Processing Addendum. For UK users, Google relies on its certification under the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for transfers to the United States, and on the EU standard contractual clauses with the UK Addendum for other transfers. Cloudflare may also process your email in the United States and other countries where it operates.
Deleting information
Delete a profile in the Grown-ups’ Corner, or uninstall the game, to remove all saved game data from the device. To have a support email deleted, contact us.
Children’s privacy laws
We designed the game to collect no personal information from children, in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the UK GDPR and the UK Age Appropriate Design Code, and Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner is developing a Children’s Online Privacy Code. We will review this policy when the Code is finalised and update it as needed.
Changes
If we change how the game or this website handles information, we’ll update this policy and the date above before the change. We will never start collecting personal information from children without telling parents first and getting any consent the law requires.
Contact us and complaints
If you have a question about this policy or want to make a privacy complaint, please contact us first. We’ll reply within 3 business days.

For kids
Waterhole Patrol keeps your game on your tablet. We don’t know who you are, and we don’t want to! Nobody can talk to you in the game, and there are no ads.
